Learn all about Vikings!

Fun, interesting way to learn all about the Vikings… especially since the Viking Ship museum is closed til 2026. There are multiple VR and mixed media experiences.
Great value for your money, and excellent staff

My wife and I stopped by The Viking Planet when we had some time to kill after we went on a sightseeing cruise and we're so glad we did. We started by doing the little virtual reality game which was excellent, and the entire downstairs museum was awesome.

It's a little different than your normal museum as it's more of an 'experience' than a place you just go and look at stuff. The interactive elements were really fun, and overall it was just a really cool experience. We weren't able to visit the viking museum while we were in Oslo, but Viking Planet actually had a 3D tour of the exhibit which we were delighted to discover. Also, the staff (Markus and Christina) were awesome and so kind.

Thanks!!

This museum is well presented, interactive and offers a nice variety of modes of interpretation including immersive cinema and virtual reality. There is also an opportunity to use interactive display boards to explore the currently closed museum in Oslo which contains the Viking ships Gokstad and Oseberg. This museum will entertain young and old alike. It also has a great shop.
Great immersive learning experience!

Eeh was expensive for what it was didn’t see the need in making mention of game of thrones or lord of the rings
