About this activity

Traveling by car to the fjords of Western Norway is one of the best ways to enjoy the Norwegian nature and appreciate the beauty of the fjords and waterfalls in a short period of time. The trip is designed for the whole day, leaving from Oslo early in the morning and returning late at night. During the day you will take part of Bergen Railway by train from Geilo to Myrdal, then board the world famous Flam Railway and cruise along the two branches of the longest and deepest fjords in Norway – Sognefjord. One of them, Nærøyfjord, was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2005. You will also be able to pass one of the most attractive high-altitude railways in the world – Flåm – or enjoy the impressive views at Stalheim hotel viewpoint. Oslo
Your private guide will pick you up by car from your hotel and you will begin your journey to the most beautiful fjord in Norway - Sognefjord. On long car trip you will have several stops for pictures, toilet and food if needed.

30 min - Arrived at Gudvange, you will be able to enjoy the scenic atmosphere of the Naraefjord - the most beautiful part of the Sognefjord and take lunch (not included) in a Viking cafe next to the Viking Village.

2 hr - Travelers will take the 2hour fjordcruise on Sognefjord

Awesome experience!

Amazing scenery and very peaceful on the electric boat! The train ride is full of fantastic views. The train actually stops and let’s you get out to take photos of a beautiful waterfall.

Great exploration of Norway in one day

Our driver Agnis was great. We really enjoyed the drive and the fjord cruise. The tour is a long one - closer to 15 hours so you will get back late, but we got to see the oldest stave church on the way back. It is well worth it. We would do it again.

Unmissable

Amazing trip- a long way made possible by having a private driver for a lot of the distance. Pleasant and hospitable driver looked after us well. The boat and railways were highlights and experience of a lifetime. Expensive but worth it
