What To Expect

Oslo Fjord
Oslo is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord (Oslofjorden in Norwegian) and is surrounded by forested hills. It’s a stunning city, and the best way to appreciate its beauty is on a relaxing sightseeing cruise.

On this two-hour tour, discover the scenery from a sightseeing boat. You’ll sail past numerous islands, including Hovedøya and the Dyna Lighthouse, through narrow inlets and into sheltered bays so that you can capture the capital on camera from different angles. We will pass the Opera House in Oslo, housing The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet ensemble. The spot has been named Kirsten Flagstads place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad place 1 after the opera's first director Kirsten Flagstad. It was designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta AS, which won an architectural competition in 2000.

A choice of seven departure times gives you excellent flexibility and allows you to easily fit this tour into your Oslo vacation.

It was so beautiful in the winter! We did the 1-3pm session so the sun started setting while we were still on the boat which was breathtaking.
Lovely trip but a bit cold & overcrowded
Anka J, 30-11-2022
We went at the end of November, and it was very cold! This was a really nice trip with lovely views and a good way to get on the water while staying in Oslo. However, after the first hour it became a bit gruelling due to the cold, so perhaps a shorter trip in the winter, or go in the summer. There were lovely warming drinks available at the bar but they were quite pricy.

The views were nice, the commentary interesting and there was a useful stop at the museums (though you have to go on the morning boat if you want to catch the boat back), but overall the trip was pretty average. The seating area was overcrowded, with people having to stand for the entirety of the 2 hours if they got on too late, and if you sat on the right, you missed a lot of the views that the commentary was telling you about, which were on the left and covered by two rows of tables.

Overall the layout, the lack of cover in the cold weather and the overcrowding took the trip from great to just nice, but it was a fun experience and I'm glad we went.
